Eagle Arts Academy, the only K-8 art school in Palm Beach County located in Wellington, Florida, has received a note of congratulations from Governor Rick Scott for major improvements in both English and mathematics curriculum and test scores. It’s a great honor to receive this note from the governor, as the academy would like to share the great news with all Eagle Arts students, parents, and the Wellington community.

Eagle Arts Academy students have shown great improvement in English Language Arts Achievement (ELA) from 2015 to 2016 and 2016 to 2017. The arts school also improved in Mathematics Achievement from 2015 to 2016 and 2016 to 2017.

Eagle Arts Academy ranks 37 out of 405 other schools for the most improvement in English and 25 out of 404 for the most improvement in mathematics.

“This is a great win for Eagle Arts Academy, students, and faculty. The congratulatory note is something to be proud of,” exclaimed Founder and Executive Director Gregory Blount. “Eagle Arts Academy promises to continue to strive and provide unsurpassed education and opportunities to all students enrolled in the academy.”

Eagle Arts Academy has come a long way in the past two years, despite an unfavorable mention in the Palm Beach Post during that time. Over the course of two years, faculty and staff have made major strides to improve the quality of education and the combined arts and academic environment provided to students. Drastic improvements have prompted praise from Governor Rick Scott and academic leaders throughout Florida.
